Phil is honored to be going on his very first HONOR FLIGHT at the beginning of November. One of the requests is for letters to be given to the Veteran that he will companion with. Don Corbett served during both WWII and Korea. It would be greatly appreciate to be able to get him an overwhelming number of letters, pictures etc. Please have your children, your co-workers and your friends help with this. Maybe even our friends at Chapel Hill????
Things NOT TO DO:
If putting notes in envelopes (not required), please do not seal them.
No food or bulky items
No glitter
Overthink. Seriously. Don’t overthink this. Coloring is great. Scribbles are sweet. Letters are received warmly by each veteran. Please do not overthink this.
Things TO DO:
Cards/letters should fit in an 8-1/2x11” envelope
Color, draw, write, scribble….anything done in the spirit of honoring our veterans is greatly appreciated!
Include words of appreciation and gratitude for the veterans’ service to our country!
I will pick up letters or you can mail them to me at Terrace Park Funeral Home
