Around the World
- Rotary International is responsible for helping eradicate polio worldwide. Reducing polio from 350,000 to less than 2,000 cases since 1988 -- a 99% reduction.
- Helping against the malaria virus, Rotary has provided 1.1 million bed nets to Africa to prevent an estimated 700,000 premature deaths in children.
- Ambassadorial Scholarship program, the world's largest privately funded scholarship program, each year nearly $20 million in scholarships.
- Shelter Box program provides disaster relief equipment around the world. More than 500,000 Shelter Boxes have been distributed in more than 40 countries.
